Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Novena
Sedes Sapientiae, the Seat of Wisdom, is one of the oldest of Our Lady’s titles. It belongs to her because the Word and Wisdom of God dwelt in her womb and afterward sat upon her lap, which is why the medieval sculptors carved her enthroned with the Child on her knee and called the image the Throne of Wisdom. She has been the patroness of Catholic schools and universities for centuries, and students still light candles before her statue at Leuven during examinations. This novena includes the classic prayers for study and for examinations. Pray it for students and scholars, for clarity of mind, for humility before revealed truth, and for the favor you most need.
