Answered Prayers From This Novena

A few weeks ago I learned my younger sister’s annual breast imaging showed a small mass. We have a very strong family history of breast cancer and for this reason get annual breast MRIs in addition to annual mammograms. The mass was not seen on the mammogram she underwent a few months ago.

Naturally, I was upset with worry. We recently lost our mother just over a year ago in a sudden but terrible accident. Our mother suffered a seizure while running hot bath water - and being unconscious and unable to turn off the water she suffered severe burns. She was hospitalized for several weeks before passing away from infection secondary to her wounds, on February 5.

I immediately went to chapel the next day to pray. I was struck by a portrait of St. Agatha which had a small plaque designating her as the patroness of breast cancer patients. Upon reading further I learned that she was also the patroness of victims of fire and burns and that her feast day was February 5! Wow! But not a coincidence! I truly believed my mother had asked God to send me a message that everything would be ok and I was enveloped immediately with a tremendous sense of peace.

I lit a candle near the portrait and started this novena at that very moment. I continued to pray the novena and for St. Agatha’s intercession in the coming days as my sister underwent further imaging and ultimately a breast biopsy. I completed the novena on the morning of 10/22. Just a few hours later, I received a text from my sister that she’d just gotten a call with her biopsy results - the mass was benign!

What a blessing!

Such a special gift from God and I’m confident St. Agatha (and maybe even my own mother) interceded on behalf of my sister. I’m so grateful and want to offer my gratitude today for prayers answered. Thank you for sharing this novena on this website for people - such as myself - so that we may know and pray for St. Agatha’s intercession.

Thank you St. Agatha for your intercession !!! Just found out great medical news!!

I have a testimony to make. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. I’ve prayed for intercession from St. Agatha using your website during the treatment. My mother has been cancer free since early 2023. I have prayed with the novena whenever I’m too worried about her. Thanks to our dear Lord Jesus and St. Agatha for her intercession.

I just wanted to let you guys know about this. Thank you so much for hosting the website.

Prayed 16 novenas to Saint Agatha for a friend to be cured from stage 3 breast cancer and received this text from her:

Praise God and thank the Lord and Blessed Mother and all the saints and angels and all my prayer warriors on earth! Just got off the phone with my surgeon, and all cancer cells are dead and no cancer in lymph nodes and no live cancer cells in tumor that she removed. I’m cancer free! Thanks be to God!

from I.S.

I had breast cancer in my past but have been clear for several years.

When I had my annual mammogram this year, they sent me for an ultrasound and said I had two masses in the same breast that had breast cancer before. They had me come in for two biopsies, so I started the novena to Saint Agatha asking for her intercession.

Got my report yesterday. Both masses are totally benign. Thank you, Saint Agatha and thank you God for Saint Agatha.
