O holy St. Catherine of Bologna, who from thy youth didst forsake the pleasures and honors of the world to follow Christ in the poverty and humility of the Poor Clares, and who wast blessed by God with both mystical gifts and artistic talents placed entirely at His service, I come to thee with confidence and devotion.
Thou who didst wage courageous spiritual combat against temptation and discouragement, and who didst write so wisely of the weapons of the soul, faith, hope, charity, prayer, and humble perseverance, obtain for me the grace to fight my own spiritual battles with equal courage and trust in God’s mercy.
Thou whose hands fashioned beautiful images of the sacred mysteries even as thy heart was lifted to God in contemplation, help me to see in all that is good and beautiful a reflection of the eternal beauty of God, and inspire me to use whatever gifts He has given me wholly for His glory.
