Answered Prayers From This Novena
My 39 year old daughter back in February 2024 told me she was pregnant with her first child. In March I was leaving Shop Rite. I was walking in the parking lot going down a lane that my car was not in. I saw something shining from the sun on the ground. It was to plastic medals. One was of Saint Christopher, the other of Saint Gerard.
When home I looked up Saint Gerard to learn he was the patron saint of expecting mothers. I began saying prayers to Saint Gerard. In July she was told her baby boy had a rare cyst on his duct connecting to his liver. An operation was necessary 2 months after birth. August 25th I started this novena to Saint Gerard. On Saturday August 31, 7th day of the novena, my daughter had another sonogram.
The baby turned in such a way that the tech, who took more time, saw that the cyst was in his stomach not the duct. He has been diagnosed as having Duodenal Artesia Stenosis, which means an operation upon birth. We live in NJ. Upon the urging of a nurse friend, she told her she had to go to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She talked to her doctor and he agreed. He sent a referral on the 7th day of the novena. On Monday, she was 35 weeks pregnant. The ninth day of the novena.
On Tuesday, the day after the novena she received a call from CHOP to go there today, Wednesday Sep. 4 for extensive testing. They have accepted her to deliver there and have the baby operated on immediately after birth to save his life. Thank you Saint Gerard for placing the medals in my path and for placing people in my daughter’s path to save her baby. She wanted her baby to have a biblical name. His name will be Lukas James. I named my daughter 40 years ago a name which means in Greek, little Mary, after the Blessed Mother who has answered my prayers, especially as a child. 🙏

Last year I prayed this Novena for a safe delivery and I prayed to deliver on a certain day. My prayers were answered and on the final day of the Novena I delivered safely and a healthy baby.
