# Answered Prayers: Bear Witness to What God Has Done

A new way to remember, give thanks, and pray with one another — now in Intercede.

When a prayer is answered, something needs to happen next. Most of us pause, give thanks, and then move on. The grace fades into the run of ordinary days. Months later we struggle to remember exactly what we asked for, or how the answer came.

Answered Prayers is our newest feature in Intercede — a place to mark those moments before they slip away. It is a way to keep a record of how God has moved in your life, and, if you choose, to share that record with the wider Intercede community.

## How it works

Every novena now ends with a simple invitation: Has your prayer been answered? When the answer is yes, you can write a few sentences about what happened. Then you choose how to save it.

Private keeps your testimony in your own prayer journal. Only you can see it. It becomes part of the personal record you carry with you — a quiet reminder, in seasons of doubt, of the prayers that were heard.

Public shares your testimony with the Intercede community. After a brief review by our team, it appears in the From the Community feed alongside other answered prayers, attributed only by your country flag and initials. Other members can read it, pray over it, and tap to send an Amen — a small, wordless way of saying yes, I see what God has done for you, and I rejoice with you.

You can edit or delete any answered prayer you’ve recorded. Anything posted publicly can be reported, reviewed, and removed.

## Watching for answers

Not every prayer is answered on day nine. After you finish a novena, Intercede now enters a quiet seven-day Watching period — a window where the app keeps space for an answer, whenever it comes. If something happens during that week, you can record it on the spot. If nothing comes, the watching ends without fuss, and the novena moves into your history.

## Why we built it

Scripture is full of people who could not keep an answered prayer to themselves.

▎ “Come and hear, all you who fear God, while I recount what has been done for me.” — Psalm 66:16

The early Church grew on testimony like this — friends telling friends what they had seen, what they had received, who had been healed through the intercession of the saints. Answered Prayers is built on that same conviction: that the stories of grace we receive are not only ours. They belong to the people we pray with. They belong to the people praying behind us, who are wondering if anyone is listening at all.
