Patron saint of carpenters and woodcarvers, the Diocese of Regensburg, and those who suffer from stroke, paralysis, and ailments of the stomach
St Wolfgang of Regensburg Novena
St Wolfgang was a tenth-century Swabian teacher who became a Benedictine monk at Einsiedeln, a missionary to the Magyars, and a reforming Bishop of Regensburg. He tutored the future Emperor St. Henry II, renewed the monasteries of his diocese, and gave up part of it so that Bohemia could have its own bishop. Pray this novena for the sick, for those who work with their hands, for teachers and students, and for the favor you most need.

Day 1
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
O glorious Saint Wolfgang, faithful monk, zealous missionary, and holy bishop, who didst forsake the honors of the world to serve God in poverty and humility, look down with kindness upon us who now seek thy intercession.
Thou didst teach the young with patience, preach the Gospel to the Magyars, and feed the flock committed to thee with sound doctrine and the bread of charity. Thou didst give freely of thine own possessions to the poor, and didst gladly surrender a great part of thy diocese for the good of souls.
Obtain for us, we beseech thee, a true love of God above all things, detachment from the goods of this passing world, zeal for the salvation of souls, and generosity toward all who are in need. Protect the sick, especially those stricken by paralysis and infirmity, and bless the work of all who labor with their hands.
Look with compassion upon our present need, and present to the throne of God this petition which we humbly lay before thee
(mention request here…)
if it be for the greater glory of God and the good of our souls. Amen.
