Pope Francis is in the hospital with serious respiratory issues; here’s how we can pray for him.

The Catholic world, and many people of good will, have been praying for him, offering their Rosaries, Masses, and spontaneous prayers for the pope’s health.

In our app, we have just implemented a new feature, a world-wide group prayer that we call the Community Novena.

The first Community Novena is the St. Joseph Novena, which begins March 10th, and the intention for which we will all pray is for the health of Pope Francis.

Click here to join over 1,700 Catholics around the world who are going to pray the novena together.

Growing in Prayer, Together

Praying by ourselves or in small groups is wonderful.

But praying together as a large group–thousands of faithful–gives us a strong sense of solidarity with one another and with the Bishop of Rome.

The St. Joseph novena is one of the most important and most popular, and praying this novena during Lent adds another dimension to it: penintential and sober, but hopeful.

Jesus suffered and calls us to join our sufferings to those that He endured, and no doubt Pope Francis is doing that every day. During Lent especially, we focus on conforming ourselves to Christ in His sufferings, so that we might also rise with Him one day and live with Him in Heaven.

Let’s pray together for Pope Francis and his health, and invite others to do so as well in this very first Community Novena.
